Their explanation and their reaction were full of contradictions, many of which were pointed out by users afterward. So none of it really made too much sense on the face of it. (Which is why many of us are saying it sure looks like panic taking over the decision-making.) However, he did say that the payout change scheme was a very temporary stop-gap. (Again, apparently the change was an emergency and needed to happen overnight despite it not making sense and the given reasons for the problems not existing, but anyway.) But we havenāt heard a peep about what it might change to, so I donāt know. Possibly they are now doing the due consideration we were asking before the change happened (we did get SOME warning SOMETHING was going to change because Richard had started publicly dumping on TC a few weeks prior which up until then was their golden shining achievement.) Maybe theyāll even ask for some feedbackā¦?

One problem with the current MM weight system is that it is affected by the payout factor. The higher the total NMR staked, the less the MM corrects itself towards good models.
At some point (or maybe already), the correction of the MM weights toward good models by the burn/payout system will be too slow for the MM to create good performance.
