Reducing Numerai Crypto Payouts

Hi all,

It has come to our attention that Numerai Crypto is far more profitable for users than our other 2 tournaments. While we have been happy to provide value to users, this is unsustainable and we will be drastically reducing the payout multipliers of Numerai Crypto.

The new Multipliers will be 0xCORR + 1xMMC to bring the profitability of Numerai Crypto more in-line with our other tournaments. This change will take effect immediately. All Numerai Crypto rounds starting on or after Saturday, Jan. 24, 2025 will use these multipliers.

That is quite a change. Since people seem to generally achieve higher corr and mmc on the crypto tournament, does this mean that the crypto tournament is also more profitable for the fund than the other competitions?

They don’t trade crypto, at least not currently.

Perhaps it’s time for Numerai to trade cryptos, no sense in postponing the evil moment.
